“My decision to go to graduate school was largely impacted by my GCSP of focus. I am very interested in solving the world water crisis. My journey becoming a Grand Challenge Scholar involved traveling to Haiti on a water system construction trip, building a DIY biosand water filter for researching industrial applications, and entering innovation competitions. I now am a student at CSU where I’m a graduate teaching assistant in the Civil Engineering freshman labs. I hope to inspire my students to enroll in the GCSP so that they can push themselves to make the world a better place.”
