“The GCSP exposed me to many of the crises facing our world and the major role that engineers can play in solving them. During my time in the GCSP, I helped communities in the Central Plateau of Haiti improve access to clean water through service work and research. This included spending 8 months in Haiti through an internship with Clemson Engineers for Developing Countries (CEDC) where I worked directly with communities to construct small-scale water systems and improve school buildings This passion for working directly for the public led me to my current job where I help my own community restore and improve our urban infrastructure though bridge replacements, trail construction, and mass transit projects.”
