I come from a part of the world where there is an abundance of solar rays (Egypt), and the possibilities of making use of this wasted energy and harnassing it are breathtaking to say the least! The obstacles are steep, but not impossible to overcome: Find better materials to harness the solar energy and turn it into electricity, AND find more efficient ways to store that energy for use at later times (night for example) I see the possibilities as endless, and believe that the future holds alot of great things for this field of study. Solar panels can benefit me because it saves me more money and i wont destroy the ozone layer. it can also not benefit us because on cloudy days when the sun isn't out, we will be without power.
